As a result of findings in the Belmont Facilities Energy Assessment - Part 1, released in July '09, BUMC is replacing all of it's aging thermostats in the Main Building with Energy Star compliant programmable thermostats from Honeywell. This change will reduce energy usage by allowing the thermostats' settings to vary according to usage zones, hours of the day, and days of the week according to building occupancy.
